I Saw the Light
Julie and I went out Thursday night for dinner and a movie at our favorite place, The Warren Theater, in Moore, OK. We ate upstairs in Oscar’s then made our way back down for our show.
The Warren Theater has remodeled and added 3 new areas they call The Screening Room. You must make reservations, but you get to select where you want to sit.
Reserved seating stadium auditoriums featuring plush recliner seats with seat heaters.
Julie loved the heated seats (me, too). They were quite comfortable and you can recline quite a bit. You have your own arm rests and a tray table. There is NO food service in these auditoriums like The Director’s Suite. But, you can bring food in and eat it during the movie.
The Screening Room holds about 75 I believe. Unlike The Director’s Suite it is tiered seating like a stadium. And it’s a larger screen. I enjoyed the experience, the seating, the screen, and the great sound.
We paid $14.00 each plus $1.50 service charge for ordering tickets online. The matinee price is $11.00.
I highly recommend The Screening Room at the Warren Theater.
I Saw the Light
This movie about the life of Country Music legend Hank Williams starred the English actor, Tom Hiddleston. Tom is famous onscreen for his role of Loki in the movie Thor and other movies in that franchise.
I loved the music. Tom did a great job singing and acting.
My two biggest criticisms of this movie is that it seemed to be about 20 minutes too long and the one scene of nudity. This one scene that lasted probably less than 45 seconds was totally not needed to the plot of the movie. Come on, Hollywood. Wake up. Tell the story. Leave out the junk!
Go see the movie if you can find it showing. If not, catch it on DVD when it is released.
I always stay to watch the credits roll at the end. I appreciate the men and women who worked to give me 2 hours of fun and entertainment.
As Julie and I sat there reading the names and details I was pleased to notice the name of a friend of ours who worked on this film. Actually, Tracye and her brother got to work on this. It was filmed in and around Shreveport, LA.
So, go take someone you love to a movie. Take some time for yourself today!
