Soulful Sunday – Breathe on Me, Breath of God

Today I wanted to have a Soulful Sunday and feature a song
my daughter, Rachel, and I wrote and recorded –
Breathe on Me, Breath of God.

Rachel Mosher - This Love

Rachel Mosher – This Love

The original song was written by Edwin Hatch in 1878 [see lyrics below]
and the original tune was written by Robert Jackson, pub.1888.

Rachel Mosher was recording a new CD and was wanting hymns and she asked me to help her. So, the arrangement you hear is a collaboration. Remember, this version only
uses part of the original lyrics.

If you would like a copy of Rachel’s CD please contact me for details. Write me at

Vocals – Rachel Whetstone Mosher

Breathe on Me, Breath of God

  1. Breathe on me, Breath of God,
    Fill me with life anew,
That I may love what Thou dost love,
And do what Thou wouldst do.
  2. Breathe on me, Breath of God,
    Until my heart is pure,
Until with Thee I will one will,
    To do and to endure.
  3. Breathe on me, Breath of God,
    Till I am wholly Thine,
Until this earthly part of me
    Glows with Thy fire divine.
  4. Breathe on me, Breath of God,
    So shall I never die,
But live with Thee the perfect life
    Of Thine eternity.
