Sunday Worship at Harvest Fellowship PT1

I was privileged to lead worship at Harvest Fellowship in Bossier City, LA last weekend. I put my iPad on some books on the first pew and turned the camera on. It ran about 50 something minutes before it ran out of memory.¬† I was able to glean 6 songs from that recording and part of Richard Watson’s sermon.

I’d like to share a videos with you per day over the next few days. I’ve had friends and family ask for it so here you go. Remember, these songs are copyrighted and I am just giving my interpretation of the songs. The song writers and publishers own the rights to the songs.¬† I will include as much of that information as possible.

So, today, enjoy Hank William’s I Saw the Light mixed with Alfred Brumley’s I’ll Fly Away.

I Saw the Light by Hank Williams, Sr.

I wandered so aimless, life filled with sin.
I wouldn’t let my dear Savior in.
Then Jesus came like a stranger in the night.
Praise The Lord, I saw the Light.

I saw the Light, I saw the Light,

No more darkness, No more night.
Now I’m so happy, no sorrow in sight.
Praise the Lord, I saw the Light.

2 Just like the blind man, I wandered along,
Worries and fears, I claimed for my own.
Then like the blind man, that God gave back his sight.
Praise the Lord, I saw the Light.

3 I was a fool to wander and stray, Straight is the gate and narrow the way.
Now I have traded the wrong for the right.
Praise the Lord, I saw the Light.

I’ll Fly Away by Alfred E. Brumley

Some glad morning when this life is o’er, I’ll fly away;
To a home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away
I’ll fly away, Oh Glory
I’ll fly away; (in the morning)

When I die, Hallelujah, by and by, I’ll fly away

2. When the shadows of this life have gone, I’ll fly away;
Like a bird from prison bars has flown, I’ll fly away

3. Just a few more weary days and then, I’ll fly away;
To a land where joy shall never end, I’ll fly away

  1. Sounds good Chuck! My Trumpet would be a great addition to that melody!! In fact, I played (add lib) on I’ll fly away this past Sunday, the same Sunday that you were playing in Bossier City.
